Three ways to help

1

Amazon

Best if your Amazon.com account is eligible. Open the book page, scroll down to the customer reviews area, and choose Write a customer review. A few honest sentences are enough.

2

Goodreads or book communities

If Amazon blocks the review, post wherever you normally track books. Goodreads, StoryGraph, a book club, or your newsletter all help.

3

Email Yaniv

If a platform will not accept the review, send Yaniv the text. It still helps him understand what real readers are feeling.

Amazon eligibility error

If Amazon says your account is not eligible

That message usually means Amazon does not currently allow that account to post reviews. The book page is not broken, and Yaniv cannot manually approve the review from his side.

Common reason

Amazon's guidelines say review participation can require spending at least $50 on Amazon.com in the past 12 months using a credit or debit card. Gift cards and promotional balances may not count toward that threshold.

  • Make sure you are signed into the Amazon.com account you actually use for purchases.
  • If you mostly use gift cards, a different payment method may be the issue.
  • Do not create a fake account or try to bypass Amazon's rules.
  • If Amazon blocks it, use the email option below and post elsewhere if you want.

Review rules worth respecting

Does it have to be positive?

No. It has to be honest. A thoughtful mixed review is more credible than a forced five-star one.

Should I mention how I found the book?

If it feels relevant, keep it simple and transparent. Focus on your actual reading experience.

Can friends or relatives review?

They should avoid reviewing if they have a personal relationship or conflict of interest. The safest reviews come from regular readers with no personal stake.

How long should the review be?

Three to six honest sentences are enough. Mention who the book is for, what landed, and anything that did not.
